This is from ‘red’ and is one of my favorite bits of keyboard playing I’ve ever done. As a song there is not much to it but the two solos are some the best I’ve done, especially the second ‘moog’ style solo. For me it is the emotional high point of the album. The solo was done it two separate take with minimal editing. I’ve been getting this ready to play live but it will take a while to learn the solos. I always improv my solos which makes it really fun to go back and learn what the hell I played. The name of the song is from Robert Jordan’s ‘Wheel of Time’ series, Tel’Aran’Rhiod is place inbetween worlds where motion and time seem to be blurred. This song sort of reminds me of super slo-mo footage.

I plan on doing two versions of ‘green’, normal version and a drone version. I sometimes like the slow motion unfolding nature of drone music and this the stripped down ’40 Signs Of Rain’.

This is from the forthcoming album ‘green’. This is an early-ish version of the song. The foundation is there but there is still some tweaking to do.

This is also going to be on green, probably as a linking piece between something a bit faster. There is a slight chance that a part of this will be the opening of the album and then have it reprised later. I like the feel of this and the square wave circular thing at the end. The ticking works for me too, as not-too-subtle way of saying that we need to do something now, not later.
